Itx Record Label

Terms of Service

Last updated: 24 October 2026

In short:

  • Releasing an approved song with Itx is free.
  • You keep ownership of your music. Itx distributes and promotes it for you.
  • Royalty split: Artist 75% and Label 25% of the money we actually receive.
  • You must own, or have permission for, everything you submit.
  • We answer Monday to Friday, 6 am to 3 pm (India time).

This summary is only a quick guide. The full Terms below are what count.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are the agreement between you and Itx Record Label (“Itx”, “we”, “us”, “our”), an independent music record label based in Surat, Gujarat, India. Our legal name is International Track X-Records Label, and we are a subsidiary of International Track X-Records Music Group Enterprises (“ITXMGE”).

By submitting a demo, creating an account, or releasing music with us, you confirm that you have read these Terms and agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

If we agree something in writing with you for one specific release (for example by email or in your account), that written agreement applies together with these Terms. If the two disagree, the written agreement for that release wins.

2. Who can use Itx

To use our services you must:

  • be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live. If you are younger, a parent or legal guardian must submit on your behalf and accept these Terms;
  • have the legal right to enter into this agreement, and if you act for a band, group or company, have the authority to bind it;
  • give us information that is true, complete and kept up to date.

3. Your account

Some services are available through our login portal. You are responsible for keeping your password private and for everything that happens under your account. Please tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to it.

One account belongs to one artist or group. You may not sell, share or transfer your account to anyone else without our written approval.

4. Demo submissions and release approval

Unreleased music can be sent to us through our demo submission form. Sending a demo does not guarantee that we will release it. We listen to every submission, but we may accept or decline a demo for any reason, and we are not always able to give feedback.

A release is only approved once we confirm it to you by email or in your account. After that we may ask you to fix audio files, artwork or metadata (titles, credits, genres, dates) so that the release meets the requirements of the stores and platforms.

Unless we agree otherwise, we decide the release date and the stores, platforms and territories where an approved release is delivered.

Please do not submit music that you have already promised exclusively to another label, distributor or publisher.

5. Free releases

Our mission is to release music for free for artists who cannot afford to pay for distribution and promotion. We do not charge you an upfront fee to distribute a release that we have approved. Itx earns through its share of the revenue described in section 8.

If we ever offer an optional paid service, we will tell you the price before you agree to it, and you are free to say no.

6. Your music and your rights

You keep ownership. Your songs, recordings, compositions, lyrics and artwork stay yours. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of your music to Itx.

What you allow us to do. For every release we approve, you give Itx the worldwide right to:

  • deliver, distribute and make the release available on stores, streaming services, social platforms and other outlets;
  • collect the revenue that those outlets pay for the release;
  • promote the release, including using your artist name, logo, photos, artwork, lyrics, short audio previews and release information in posts, playlists, campaigns and on our website and social pages.

While a release is with us, please do not distribute the same release through another label or distributor at the same time without telling us first. Duplicates cause problems with stores, such as split streams and takedowns.

These permissions end when the release is taken down (see section 13). We may keep archive copies and records as needed for accounting and legal reasons, and things that were already published (such as old social posts) may remain online.

Commercial licensing of music, for example for videos or advertising, is not covered by this section and will be handled separately, in writing.

7. Your promises about your music

When you submit music, you promise that:

  • you own it, or you have every permission needed to release it. This includes beats, samples, loops, vocals, features, lyrics, artwork and any cover or remix permission;
  • it does not infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
  • everyone who worked on it agrees to the release, and you have agreed with them how the money is shared;
  • the title, artist names, credits, ISRC/UPC (where you provide them) and other metadata are accurate;
  • if AI tools were used to create part of the music, you have told us when submitting, you have the right to use the results, and nothing imitates the voice or identity of a real artist without their permission;
  • you will not use bots, paid stream farms or any other artificial way to increase plays.

8. Royalties, splits and payments

Split. The royalty split between artist and label is Artist 75% and Label 25% of Net Revenue, unless we agree a different split in writing for a specific release.

Net Revenue means the money Itx actually receives for your release from stores, platforms and distribution partners, after their fees and deductions (including the 10% commission kept by our distribution partner) and after any taxes or withholding that the law requires. Example: for every USD 100 the stores pay, USD 10 goes to the distribution partner, USD 67.50 to the artist and USD 22.50 to the label.

Reports. Stores report and pay with a delay, sometimes several months after the streams or sales happen. We can only pay you after we have received the money. Standard Artists see their statements in their Artist Dashboard. Normal Artists do not get a dashboard and can request their reports and payment details from the label by email. The two artist types, payout thresholds and installments are explained on our About page.

Payments. We pay what you are owed using the method and schedule shown in your account or communicated to you. Bank, currency-conversion or payment-provider charges may be deducted. You are responsible for giving us correct payment details.

Taxes. You are responsible for the taxes on your earnings. We may withhold tax where the law requires it.

Mistakes, fraud and reversals. We may hold, reduce or take back royalties that come from artificial streaming or fraud, from refunds or chargebacks, or from a payment made by mistake. We may deduct such amounts from future payments. Royalties for a release that is removed because of a copyright claim, a policy violation or artificial streaming are blocked.

Collaborators. If several people worked on a release, you decide how the artist share is divided between you. We pay the account holder unless we agree otherwise in writing, and we do not settle disputes between collaborators.

9. Promotion and marketing

We may promote releases through official Spotify playlists, charts and radio campaigns managed by our Itx Media Marketing Agency Pvt Ltd, and through our own website and social channels.

We decide which releases we promote and how. We do not promise any playlist placement, number of streams, chart position or audience growth.

10. Transferring or re-releasing a song

You can ask us to move a song from another distributor or label to Itx, or to re-release a song that was removed, including with its old ISRC/UPC. To do this, fill in the form and contact our team. Before we start:

  • you must confirm that you have the right to move or re-release the song, and that any old ISRC/UPC belongs to you or that you are entitled to reuse it;
  • the old copy must be removed, or the timing agreed with us, so that two copies are not live at the same time;
  • we may ask for proof of ownership, especially if the song was removed for a copyright or policy reason, and we may decline the request.

Whether stream counts, playlist additions or reviews carry over depends on the stores. We cannot promise that they will.

11. Copyright complaints and takedowns

If you believe music on our label uses your work without permission, email us at [email protected] with:

  • your name and contact details;
  • the work you own and how we can check that you own it;
  • the release or link that you believe is infringing;
  • a statement that you are acting in good faith and that the information is correct.

We may remove or pause the release while we look into it, and we may share the complaint with the artist so they can respond. Sending a false or bad-faith complaint can lead to action against you. Accounts that repeatedly infringe copyright may be ended.

A dedicated Commercial License and Copyright Claim page is coming soon on our website.

12. Content we do not accept

We may refuse or remove any release that:

  • is stolen, unlicensed or infringes someone’s rights;
  • contains hate speech, harassment, threats or encouragement of violence or terrorism;
  • contains sexual content involving minors, or is otherwise illegal;
  • pretends to be another artist or label, or uses misleading titles, artwork or metadata;
  • is spam, filler, silence, random noise or duplicates made only to collect streams;
  • has explicit lyrics or artwork that are not marked as explicit.

13. Taking your music down

You can ask us to take a release down at any time by email or through your account. Please include the release name and, if you have it, the UPC. We start the removal as soon as we can, usually within a few working days. Stores control how fast a release actually disappears, which can take days or weeks.

If you ask us to take a release down, royalties earned before removal are still paid to you under section 8. If a release is removed because of a copyright claim, a policy violation or artificial streaming, its royalties are blocked as explained in section 8.

We may also remove a release ourselves if there is a copyright or legal issue, a request from a store or rights owner, a breach of these Terms, or a safety concern. We will try to tell you first, unless the law or the situation does not allow it.

14. Suspension and ending of access

We may suspend or end your access to our services if you break these Terms, give false information, commit fraud, harm other people or the label, or if the law requires it.

You may stop using our services at any time. To stop us distributing your music, ask for your releases to be taken down (section 13).

After access ends, we still pay you the royalties you are properly owed, after deducting any amounts you owe us under section 8. Parts of these Terms that are meant to continue, such as your promises, payment rules, liability limits and dispute rules, keep applying.

15. Your information

What we collect. Information you give us, such as your name, artist name, email, social links, country, payment and tax details where needed, demo submissions and messages. When you open one of our social links on this website (YouTube, Instagram, SoundCloud, Beatport, LinkedIn or Discord), we also record anonymous visit statistics such as the date, device type and where you came from. We do not use these statistics to identify you.

How we use it. To run your account, review demos, distribute and promote your music, pay you, prevent fraud, meet legal duties and contact you.

Who we share it with. Stores, platforms, distribution and payment partners, and our marketing agency, only as far as needed to provide the service, and authorities when the law requires. We do not sell your personal information. Your artist name and release details are public on the stores where your music appears.

Your choices. You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing [email protected]. We may need to keep some records for accounting and legal reasons.

16. No guarantees and limits on our responsibility

Our services are provided “as is” and “as available”. Stores and platforms are independent from us, and we do not control their decisions on approvals, removals, delays, payments or recommendations. We do not guarantee any income, streams or results.

As far as the law allows, Itx and ITXMGE are not responsible for indirect losses, lost profits or lost opportunities. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the royalties we paid or owed to you in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits responsibility that cannot be limited by law.

17. If a claim is made because of your music

If someone makes a claim against Itx or ITXMGE because you broke these Terms or because your music infringes someone’s rights, you agree to cover the reasonable losses and costs that result, including legal fees, to the extent caused by you. We will tell you about the claim promptly and give you a chance to respond. We may remove the music while the claim is handled.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change, and for important changes we will tell you by email or with a notice on our website. If you keep using our services after a change, you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree with a change, you can ask us to take your releases down.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. If there is a problem, please write to us first so we can try to solve it together, and give us 30 days to respond. If we cannot solve it, the courts at Surat, Gujarat, India will have jurisdiction.

20. Support hours and contact

You can message us at any time, and our team answers during official opening hours: Monday to Friday, 6 am to 3 pm (India time). Every Saturday and Sunday is a holiday, so the team will not be available by email or Instagram on those days.

21. General

These Terms, together with any written agreement for a specific release, are the whole agreement between you and Itx about our services.

  • If a part of these Terms is found to be invalid, the rest stays in force.
  • If we do not enforce a part of these Terms straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • You may not transfer your account or your rights under these Terms without our written approval. We may transfer ours to ITXMGE or to a successor of the label.
  • Nothing here makes you and Itx partners, employees or agents of each other.
  • We may send legal notices to the email address on your account.
